LATITUDE ON THE RIVER BRINGS UNIQUE ALL-INCLUSIVE LIFESTYLE TO MIAMI
RIVER
Mixed-Use
Project Joins Miami River Renaissance, Shifting Miami’s Demographic
to the Waterfront
|
The Miami River Renaissance is not about tugboats and freighters docking
at the harbor; it’s about the rebirth of residential life along
the water, made possible by a spattering of high-end condominiums
and their visionary developers. With groundbreaking projects like
Latitude on the River, the sound of foghorns is being replaced by
the clatter of sledgehammers and huge cranes cutting through the salty
air. This transformation is poised to give way to a vibrant community,
to the likes of The Seine in Paris and the riverfront in San Antonio.
South Florida’s real estate boom has stretched all the way down
to Miami’s riverfront, where people are finding residences for
the first time in almost a century. This new wave of development includes
mixed-use projects that promise to accommodate the life of the fast-paced
urbanite, and Latitude on the River is the vanguard community.
E.A. Fish Associates, a Boston, Massachusetts-based family-run company
that has been highly regarded for real estate development and construction
for over 100 years, saw an opportunity to surpass the traditional
boundaries of luxury living by offering a totally inclusive lifestyle
to residents. Latitude on the River is a lushly landscaped property,
offering turn-key amenities, panoramic vistas of the water and city
skyline, and a prime location in charming Brickell Village. “This
is more than a condominium; it’s a destination where residents
can work, live and play in one setting,” says Steven Gelb, E.A.
Fish Associates Florida partner.
Situated just off the prestigious Brickell Avenue, Latitude on the
River counts The Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Capital Grill and
a major concentration of national and international banks among their
well-known neighbors. According to Gelb, Latitude offers its residents
short commute times to downtown and easy access to fine dining, upscale
hotels and chic nightlife. “We were attracted by the majestic
views that the property offers and by the neighboring Brickell community,
an established upscale professional environment that is safe and bustling
with activity.” The condominium is also just two blocks from
the area’s much anticipated Mary Brickell Village, where residents
can walk to gourmet supermarkets, a selection of great restaurants
and boutique shops.
The 2.3 acre waterfront site houses several different components including
a 44-story luxury condominium, a bistro and riverside café,
and commercial and retail buildings. The modern-style buildings have
been designed by internationally acclaimed Arquitectonica. In tune
with the city’s master plan guidance, the architects and developers
created a signature Promenade that traverses the entire ground-floor
of the property and provides direct views from the street to the river.
An integral part of the unique lifestyle is the condominium’s
onsite conveniences. Latitude on the River offers a full showcase
of luxury amenities including a swimming pool, fitness center and
sauna, business center, home theater, and billiard room. Plus, there
is a dedicated yoga room and a Tai Chi meditation garden located on
the 11th and 12th floors that boast spectacular 360-degree views.
A separate 21-story commercial building onsite served as the former
location of the Miami Vice television series and the movie, The Specialist,
starring Sylvester Stallone; it will house 217,000 square-feet of
office and retail space. “The class A, full-service building
is an added amenity for residents. They can work and live in the same
development, and enjoy views of the river at any time of day,”
explains Gelb.
E.A. Fish Associates brings four generations of industry expertise
in construction and development to Latitude on the River. Together
with the family-owned Suffolk Construction Company who is responsible
for Las Olas Riverhouse in Ft. Lauderdale among other notable projects
locally, the firm’s portfolio represents in excess of $1 billion.
Suffolk Construction maintains a strong presence in Florida and is
gaining added stature with this striking new development.
The residence tower offers river flats, tower units and penthouses
comprised of studios, one, two and three bedrooms. Prices range from
$170,000 to the $600’s. |
